Since he was old enough to hold a baseball, Daniel has loved the sport. He began his baseball journey playing knothole baseball with “The Little Red Machine” team. He nurtured this love by continuing to play baseball with the St. Bernard-Elmwood Place High School team, where he was voted captain and honored with an “All City” award, four years in a row. He was afforded the opportunity to continue his baseball play, with an athletic scholarship to Lindsey Wilson College, in Columbia, KY, where he focused his studies towards a Criminal Justice degree with a minor in Psychology.
Daniel continues to align his passion (baseball) with his profession! After moving back to the Greater Cincinnati area, in March of 2021, he began his career with the Reds Organization. He moved from “The Little Red Machine” to the ’75- “76 World Series “Big Red Machine” organization, the Cincinnati Reds! Serving in the role of Clubhouse Assistant, Daniel is responsible for delivering exceptional guest services to the visiting teams and members of their organization.
In addition to his love of baseball, Daniel has a true care for the youth, especially those underserved in the tri-state area communities. As a child, he participated in the Red’s Community Fund, “Reviving Baseball in the Inner-Cities (RBI) program; and remembers how valuable and impactful the program was to his development. So much so, that he volunteers his time at the Urban Youth Academy, sowing seeds of encouragement to the next generation. Daniel understands the statement, “It takes a village to raise a child.” He believes that each of us has God given talents and abilities and it is each of our responsibilities to share what we have to help make this world a better place, especially for our youth!
