Monique Cox-Moore

As Director of Community Engagement & Initiatives, Monique works  each day to connect Secretary LaRose to the various ethnic communities and various organizations throughout the state. She  works to teach these groups about the various business resources our office offers and inform them about important election related information. Monique also overseas the operation of the Minority  Affairs & Veteran Affairs Divisions. 

 While at the Secretary of State’s Office Monique has developed new  programs including Styling for Democracy, a barbershop & beauty  salon poll worker initiative, as well as work to educate the reentry  community on their voting rights at citizens of Ohio.  

Previously Monique worked for former Secretary of State Jon Husted as his Statewide Minority  Outreach Coordinator, Greater Stark County Urban League as their Chief of Staff & the Stark  County Board of Elections as their Fiscal Officer & Poll Worker Coordinator 

Monique was raised in North Canton and currently lives there with her husband and their three  beautiful children.
