Lee has been a member of the Iron Workers organization for over 36 years and has served as Executive Director of Apprenticeship & Training for the last ten.
He completed his apprenticeship in 1989 and after working all facets of the trade was appointed apprenticeship coordinator, a position he held for 13 years.
In 2009 he was promoted to Apprenticeship Director for the Pacific Northwest District Council and in 2011 appointed by General President Walter Wise as Executive Director.
In 2016 Lee was appointed to the Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship (ACA) by U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez and recently completed a three-year Construction Industry Institute study on Transforming the U.S. Workforce System into a World Leader.
He sits on various apprenticeship committees across the U.S. and serves as Chairman of the Ironworkers International Certification Board for the rigging and signalperson program.
