Lauren is a Cincinnati native and currently a 5th grade teacher at Glendale Elementary. She was educated in the Princeton School District before attending Kansas State University. She received her Bachelors’ degree at Kansas State University and her Master’s degree at Xavier University. She taught in both Kansas and Kentucky before coming back to her “home” school district to teach in Ohio.
Lauren loves being a part of the community that she grew up in and helping kids learn and expand their horizons. Lauren has over 12 years-experience as an educator in grades K – 12 and she contributes to the success of Journeys Soaring Impact by working directly with our tutors and trainers to create a balanced classroom, plus on-the-job training experience for our interns.
Lauren is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young adults. In addition to being a teacher, a mom of two, and a member of the Journeys Soaring Impact Board, she is involved with Easterseals Redwood. This organization helps children, adults and veterans living with disabilities reach their full potential through a support system of people who believe in them.
When Lauren isn’t working or volunteering, she enjoys baking, crafting and spending time with her husband Paul and their son and daughter.
