As The Port’s Vice President of Economic Equity, Jilson Daniels is responsible for developing and implementing The Port’s economic inclusion programs, policies, and strategies. Jilson also shapes and sustains an inclusive and equitable culture as a member of The Port’s leadership team.
Jilson has experience as a business coach at the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio. In this capacity, he worked with multiple minority-owned, women-owned, and other small business enterprises in the Cincinnati region on growth and capacity-related strategies and tactics. This included assisting businesses registered with the Urban League to obtain COVID-19 relief funding from the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL).
He also serves as lead facilitator for one of the Urban League’s signature training platforms, the African American Business Development (AABDP) program.
Jilson is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisville, with a major in accounting.
